Armory Contributions Now Matched by Boettcher Grant
$25,000 already awarded; Take advantage of year-end giving and holiday gifts!

Planning is underway for a full week of free performances and events to celebrate the grand opening of the Armory at Brighton Cultural Center.

“We’re going to open the doors wide and invite the community to come experience their new gem while showcasing the best of our local talent,” said Jac Cuney, assistant executive director of the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority. “Along with the new library, the Armory will soon be a popular hub of creative activity, and an important anchor for downtown.”

Survey Indicates Strong Interest in Arts and Cultural Programming
Results will Guide Armory Planning

Brighton residents are eager to attend a wide variety of programming at the Armory at Brighton Cultural Center, according to a recently released community survey.

The survey, conducted by the Brighton Urban Renewal Authority in April, invited community input regarding theater, music, dance and visual arts as well as ticket pricing. Survey questions were drafted with input from the heART of Brighton initiative (artists and creative professionals involved with the Armory fundraising campaign) and mailed to approximately 9,000 households with the city’s water bill...
